Research interests

My research interests lie in the evolutionary dynamics underpinning host-parasite interactions, especially concerning infectious disease. I apply modelling approaches to biological systems, in particular as a tool to study the within-host population dynamics of infection with the malaria-causing parasite Plasmodium falciparum. I hope to analyse stage-specific immunity to the parasite, as well as the ways in which vaccines can stimulate an immune response to multiple stages of the parasitic life cycle.
